Physical Map Revisions and Floodplain Management Map Maintenance Services, Maricopa County, Arizona

Flood Control District of Maricopa County (FCDMC) Project.

Reviewed hydrologic and hydraulic calculations presented in the FEMA Technical Data Notebook (TDN) prepared by other consulting firms for: Chandler Gilbert Phases 1, 2 & 3, Gavilan Creek Floodplain Delineation Study (FDS), Theba FDS, Wittman Phase III FDS and Luke Wash FDS. Worked on the updated FEMA Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report portions and reviewed water surface profile plots, floodway data table (FDT), and other FIS report tables for Upper Daggs. This work was done as part of mapping support to integrate 13 floodplain delineation studies into FEMA NFIP data layers.

Rodger Creek Floodplain/Floodway Delineation, Maricopa County, Arizona

Flood Control District of Maricopa County (FCDMC) Project.

Project included detailed re-delineation of approximately 6.35 miles of Zone AE floodplain/floodway for Rodger Creek. Responsible for preparing time and cost estimates for individual studies, HEC-1 hydrologic and HEC-RAS hydraulic review of FEMA TDN calculations of other consultants and junior engineers, review of DFIRM workmaps, RASPLOT water surface profiles, preparation of FIS material such as text, detailed and approximate study sources, discharge table, floodway data table.

Jackson Meadows LOMR correction, Sachse, Texas

An approved LOMR on Stream 2E3 of Long Branch of Muddy Creek had a discrepancy between the published Floodway Data Table and the water surface profile in the FIS. Submitted a LOMR to address this problem and the Floodway Data Table was corrected.

Norcross Tract LOMA, Sachse, Texas


Obtained a Letter of Map Amendment from FEMA for the Norcross Tract property effectively removing it from the Special Flood Hazard Area. This property is just downstream of Jackson Meadows.

Lower Colorado River Basin, Austin, Texas

Conducted a detailed flood frequency analysis of unregulated flows at several sites along the Lower Colorado River and tributaries using the HEC-FFA software and Bulletin 17B guidelines. Worked with Leo Beard in finalizing the estimates. This work was part of the Colorado River Flood Damage Evaluation project that was conducted along with Halff Associates for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) in Austin, Texas.
